Your GP can refer you directly in to this service and you will typically be seen within four to six weeks.

The clinics are run by Dr Prasun Kumar, a GP Partner in Chessington who has a specialist interest in Urology.

All Urology referrals are triaged by Dr Kumar to identify which patients are suitable to be seen by him in a Community setting. This means that patients are seen quicker, closer to home and information on the consultations is passed seamlessly between the community clinic and the patients registered GP.

The clinics operate from the newly built Surbiton Health Centre on Ewell Road.

Urology clinics, including a dedicated Lower Urinary Tract Symptoms clinic, operate on a weekly basis every Monday.

‍

The Vasectomy clinics, including No Scalpel Vasectomy procedures, take place every Thursday.

Clinical Supervision for the service is provided by Miss Rashmi Singh, Consultant Urologist at Kingston Hospital.

She also runs a joint clinic with Dr Kumar once a month.

When patients are seen in the service, the doctor that sees them has full access to their medical record, as held by their GP. This is on the basis that the patient gives their consent to access. This will allow the doctor to see any past history or current medications that may be affecting the condition being reviewed and also supports the seamless transfer of information between the community Clinics and the patients own registered GP.
