Kingston GP Chambers are currently providing and managing 73 hours of GP cover, every week within Kingston A&E.

As of November 2017, the GPs started working as part of a multi-disciplinary team within the new Urgent Care Centre at Kingston Hospital, managing patients presenting with primary care and minor complaints.  The GPs will play a vital role in successful re-direction out of the hospital to other appropriate healthcare settings in the community.

Dr Richard Van Mellaerts leads from a Board perspective in relation to joint working on Urgent care and links closely with Dr Neeraj Gujral, the GP Clinical Lead,  who has been appointed to help develop and maintain the service working with both Kingston GP Chambers and Kingston Hospital.
